Toshiba SD-V392SC DVD Player / VCR Combo

I purchased this machine at Best Buy for $99.99 in early January. I previously had a Toshiba 2-disc DVD player which was and still is a terrific machine even after several years of use, but I wanted a combo unit to go with my new Sony LCD TV. The picture quality of the SD-V392 is terrific. I am using the component connections and the DVD picture is absolutely beautiful. Skin texture and colors are lifelike. I just can't imagine they could look any better. The zoom and fast forward/reverse modes work flawlessly . The VHS picture also looks great and the machine records and plays back perfectly. The sound comes through on both the TV system and my home theater system beautifully. I bought this machine because I was happy with my older Toshiba player which is now connected to a second TV and working perfectly. At $99.99 I consider the SD-V392 a real bargain. My only complaint is minor and that is the remote. The mode and selection buttons are a little small for me. However, the old remote from my older Toshiba controls the SD-392 so its really no problem.
