The Bottom Line:
I think my experience was a fluke. I hope.
I have 3 Toshiba TV's, two VCR's , so when it was time for a DVD bought one under $100 from UBid.
For the 1st 100 days it worked swell.
Albiet we used it less than once a week.
Picture quality Great, sound good, the options it offered kept my 11 year old entertained. (our 1st DVD).
A referbished Toshiba has a 90 day warrenty, well, 4 months after purchase the sound quit. I thought I must have hit the wrong button or something. But after hours of trying, I guess I throw it in the trash. For $50 inspection fee that most electronic places want, I may as well just buy another one.
