This was my first experience with a DVD player, and what a good choice it turned out to be.
I originally wanted to get a DVD player because I am a movie addict, but I hate the 10 minutes of commercials and previews you're forced to sit through or fast forward through with video tapes. I went in to one of those club-type stores, saw this one was less than $300, and I couldn't resist.
It was very easy to hook up. Once I popped in a DVD, the menu screen came on and it was very easy to navigate. The movie came on and the difference between this and video tapes was like night and day. The sound and picture were phenomenal.
