Toshiba SDP-1800 8 in. Portable DVD Player

We found our Toshiba SDP-1800 at Brandsmart USA here in S. Florida for under $150. She was cheaper as it was a floor model. I've always been a bit leery of those "floor models" or refurbished electronics. Usually this means someone else has broken and returned the unit or at the very least, thousands of other folks have fiddled with, dropped, beat up or simply pushed every button excessively.
Since purchase, our daughter has watched HUNDREDS of movies on it - constantly pressing every button, usually at once.. "just to see what it would do..."
Our Toshiba has not yet once given us any problems. It has been dropped, immersed in juice, left out in the rain (don't ask..) and been left in the hot car for over two years..
I don't know of many things that can handle two years of abuse by a 5-7 year old and still come out working as well as it did new..
