Toshiba SDP1500 8 in. Portable DVD Player

I reviewed just about all the portable DVD players on the U.S. market as well as trying out several that are available in Asia (while on a business trip) but not in the United States. After reading all the reviews, as well as comparing price versus features, I decided to purchase the Toshiba SDP-1500. I am glad that I did and have nothing even close to negative a comment. This model has several features that are not available on more expensive players and the two cons I read in a couple reviews (heat build up on bottom and battery life) have not been a problem. One thing that was suggested to me by a friend was to completely cycle (very important) the battery several times once I received the unit. After the 1st charging, I had 2hrs and 17 minutes of play time. After the 2nd, 2 hours 42 minutes and after the 3rd, a whopping 3hrs 24 minutes. Since then, the playtime has been constantly in excess of 3hrs and 15 minutes, greater than the manufacturers specifications and I would recommend that any buyer take this route.
