Toshiba SD-P2000 8.9 in. Portable DVD Player

We purchased this dvd player to travel to the Caribbean with our young child, and it was worth every penny. We used it at the airport, on the plane, in the hotel, and on the cruise ship. The picture quality is excellent, and the sound without earphones is more than adequate, even on the plane. With the ear phones the sound is quite a bit louder. Sitting three across on the plane, each of us was able to view the screen and still the picture quality was excellent even from the side. We like this product so much that we decided to hook it up to our home tv (as we did on the hotel and ship) rather than purchase a non-portable player, and we use it almost daily. It is very easy to connect, and the picture quality on the large tv is also excellent. It is very light, portable, and even with both batteries (we purchased the additional 5-hour battery) it fit into a standard case and was not a burden to carry on the plane. The batteries are easy to attach and remove, and to recharge. Unfortunately, you can't charge the battery while the dvd is in use.
