Toshiba SD-P2000 8.9 in. Portable DVD Player

I love my Sdp-2000. The screen is large and has a extremely crisp and clear picture. The audio and video input/outputs work really good. I hook my vcr up to my Sdp-2000 so i can watch cable tv on it. The battery life is good as I can usually get 3 - 3 1/2 hours of playback off a full charge. The audio volume output with the built in speakers on the unit are very weak. This however does not bother me one bit as it is extremely LOUD and CLEAR with a pair of headphones. I was a little disappointed with the mp3 playback menu and song selection routine. In the mp3 playback menu you select songs by scrolling side by side without the full song names being displayed(I believe it shows only the first eight digits of the song name). I also dont really care for the song selection with the remote control. I would rather print out my mp3 playlists and select songs by song number with the number pad on the remote than scrolling with the arrow keys on the remote and then selecting the song.If the Sdp-2000 mp3 interface was to my liking I would give it 5/5. ****NOTE**** A previous review stated: "The tiny speakers, while not Hi-Fi, were more than adequate in a noisy airplane". In my opinion this feat is impossible with any portable dvd player on the market today.
