After recently picking up a Sony DVP-NS755V DVD/CD/SACD Player for my home, see my review: http://www.epinions.com/content_90649693828, I was originally leaning toward Sony, but due to the features, decided on the Toshiba SD-P2000 8.9" Widescreen Portable DVD Player.
I'm glad I did! Sheesh, what's next? In dash? NOT!
With two headphone jacks for sharing, progressive scan, and the unbelievable picture quality, I was sold!
Although the battery is somewhat large the units actual size is very comfortable... not too large OR small.
The credit card size remote seems kind of silly to me as you would most of the time have the unit within arms length... BUT, there are some functions that must have the remote. VELCRO...what a concept!
Headphones are a must for EXCELLENT audio quality, as the onboard speakers just don't seem to cut it.
The 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 Slo-Motion, Zoom and Parental Lock features have already been used with much pleasure.
Tired of movies? Just pop in a CD or MP3 Audio disc and you are set.
We are VERY happy with this unit and it's quality. I only wish I had my own, (the kids won't let it out of their sight)!
If you are looking for a great portable, this is the one!
