the portable dvd player i've been looking for
Pros
good picture quality, improved on sound from last year, overall a good portable dvd player
Cons
too expensive, needs regular rca inputs so hooking up a game console could be easier.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
panasonic lx9 has 500 lines of resolution, sony dvp-fx1 has 510, and the toshiba sdp2500 has 540 lines. toshiba has the best picture quality and it's also the cheapest.
i've been researching on portable dvd players for about a month now and what i've found out is that the toshiba sdp2500 is the only one that i would purchase. the reason why is because it has a active matrix lcd screen which is one of the best lcd screens out there in the market right now, second the built in speakers are firing out 1.5 watts per speaker which is way better then the previous model(sdp2000), and finally the slick new design with the speakers on side which makes it feel more like a movie theater. oh yeah, and i also like how the battery lasts for about 3.5 hours which is way better then the panasonic lx9 which only plays for about 2.5 hours and it also costs about 300 dollars more.
