Toshiba MT500. Nice picture but horrible lightspill

Good colour repro, good contrast.

False "True 16:9" claim by Toshiba. Poor framing. Needs bordered screen for effective viewing.

This unit is described as a "True 16:9" projector but this is not the case.
It uses a 4:3 aspect DCD and the unused portion, top and bottom, is unmasked. What you see are large grey borders sandwiching the 16:9 image during dark scenes, so bare this in mind if you're intending to project onto a white wall. This unit can only really be used effectively with a black bordered screen.
Apart from that, the picture is clean, sharp with good contrast and colours.
