Excellent Reproduction-Poor Manuals
Pros
Quality of recording, Reputation of the maker, price, customer service
Cons
Tough set up for a non-electronic guy.
Recommended it?
Yes
I bought the unit back on 2/3 and have worked diligently to learn how to use it. An earlier review (here or at some other site) had warned about the three (!) manuals that are included. More is not better. Thank goodness for the unlimited Customer Service and its 800 number. By the way, the information says that the CS is available Monday through Friday only but they are there on Saturday also. Don't know about Sunday.
I've got the machine working and it seems a bit complicated when scheduling a future event. Since I have a satellite feed, it requires three remotes. I'm no electronics whiz but once you get it down, the procedure is pretty simple.
If I had it to do over, I get the salesman to give me a demo. Taking it home in the box was arrogance on my part.
I bought it at the retail store of Conn's and paid $129.97 plus tax.
