Good value for the money, durabillty questionable

Excellent Reproduction-Poor Manuals
I bought the unit back on 2/3 and have worked diligently to learn how to use it. An earlier review (here or at some other site) had warned about the three (!) manuals that are included. Good Choice
I bought this at the local "big box" electronic store about 2 weeks ago & I am very satisfied. It does work how it is supposed to & produces an excellent picture as a player or on things it has recorded. CD player does not work
I returned two of these because the CD player function did not work properly. CD sound would skip and pop using brand new out of the package audio discs. My first, Toshiba D-R4 I got recorded perfectly. Sadly it didn't like to finalize, unless you unplugged it for 1/2 an hour.
