Easy to use. No more VHS tapes. Great price.

My first, Toshiba D-R4 I got recorded perfectly. Sadly it didn't like to finalize, unless you unplugged it for 1/2 an hour. (look it up on Amazon, there are 2 schools- First school has finalization problems, the Second school has zero finalization problems.) Returned it, and got a second one. Records and finalizes perfectly. Sadly some movies can't be recorded to dvdr with this recorder. Copy protection prevents this. FYI the owners manual says to use Taiyo Yuden 4x, Maxell 4x or TDK 4x. (I bought Memorex and haven't had any problems)
