Cons
no bells & whistles, basic

Yes
The Bottom Line:
Good basic CD changer for your BMW. Sounds great, easy to use, plugs right into factory system.
I just installed this CD changer in my 2001 BMW 325ci Convertible. I can't say much about how easy the installation was as I had it done in a shop. If your BMW is pre-wired for a CD changer, this product will plug directly into the factory system without any adapter or having to modify to the wiring. It comes supplied with the cable and bolts needed to install it into the trunk. The manufacturer also gives a 3-year limited warranty.
The sound quality is the same as it is when I play CDs in the original radio, if not better. It is easy to use, you just switch to the CD changer by pressing the CD button on the radio twice. The radio station buttons 1-6 select which CD to play. The steering wheel controls forwarding to the next track as does the radio itself.
It takes about 2 seconds for the CDs to load. The display will not show the name of the artist or song, it will only show CD1-track 02, for example.
The changer skipped a few times when I drove over extremely bad pavement. When I say bad, I mean a maximum speed of 25 mph. That was the only time it ever skipped, speed bumps work just fine.
All in all, this is a basic CD changer without any bells & whistles but it works.
