Umax SuperMac C600VPC (C6240323E) Mac Desktop

I was working at a thrift store last year and got a Supermac C600 240 mhz that they were throwing out. Cosmetically it was in perfect shape which is something considering they just tossed it in the trash. It has a loose video connection which I plan to fix by putting in a better video card. As for the ease of use I was actually impressed. I grew up not liking Macs because of the difference in the interface and lack of the software I was interested in. But this did change my opinion. While I will not be giving up my PC based systems (I have some systems which are not related to IBM systems either) I do respect and appreciate the Mac thanks to the Supermac. I would view it as a great starter unit for someone who is curious about Macs but not interested in spending a lot of money to find out. They are well worth your money and there are many different ways to upgrade them to your particular use or needs. (though not anything faster than 700 mhz so I have heard) There are even user groups that can be helpful to you if you are a beginner. So if you are thinking about going Mac and you are not sure look around for a SuperMac and see if it is right for you without spending a fortune for a piece of machinery you may or may not like.
