Uniden Radar Detector LRD6250-Christmas Gift Idea

Pros Better to detect a ticket coming that to get a ticket coming.
Cons I love it. Haven?t had speeding tickets since I bought it!
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I love it and so will you and all your friends!
It wasn't a Dr. wearing a white robe that told me about my disease last year. Instead I received the news of my illness from a gentleman in a black robe. No it wasn't Death telling me that I suffer from terminal lead foot, it was a Judge commenting on my latest ticket and the high rate of speed that I was traveling through his town at. One more ticket and that was it for my license so said the Judge.

I purchased the Uniden LRD6250SWS shortly (real shortly) after I left his honor counting my latest contribution to the cities coffers roughly a year ago and I think that my encounters with law enforcement have significantly dropped because of it. It didn't keep me from getting a ticket for an illegal u-turn but then again, what will? The Uniden unit has however given me ample warning on several occasions to allow me to compensate my speed in time to avoid a pricey pullover.

The Uniden LRD6250SWS picks up X, K, and the KA super wideband frequencies that are most commonly used by law enforcement officers. Once you plug the unit into your cigarette lighter outlet for power you are ready to tempt fate. There was one thing that really drew me to the Uniden LRD6250SWS and that is that it offers 360-degree laser protection. In layman's terms, front and rear protection. I received a ticket once that the officer had hit me with radar from behind, so he said, so I liked this feature.

I recently traveled to Arizona to visit my Father and definitely think that the Uniden LRD6250SWS kept me from getting caught while speeding on several occasions. Once while driving at a very high rate of speed I really had a chance to see how the strength meter the unit features performs on an open highway. As I neared a hidden state trooper the unit chimed once with an associated light display for its first warning. I was approximately 1/2 of a mile from the officer at that time. The closer I came to the radar the more the unit chimed and added warning lights to its display. By the time the officer could really get a lock on my car I was back to a moderate level of speed avoiding, I think, a ticket for excessive speed.

Final Analysis: Uniden LRD6250SWS Radar Detector I haven't had a speeding ticket since I bought my Uniden so for that reason alone I highly recommend it as a valuable product. I spent roughly $125 dollars for mine but have seen it since priced at under $100. The Uniden LRD6250SWS is easy to use and easy to hide for those of you that live in states that frown on radar detectors.

If you are looking for a radar detector that won't cost you an arm or leg but will still keep you well protected from radar detection then the Uniden LRD6250SWS could be the unit you are looking for.
