The LRD 767 equips you with 360° protection, detecting X, K, KA SuperWideband, SWS, Laser, Ultralyte Laser (L2) and now the latest Pro L3 laser. It features Quick Release Windshield Mount and Digital Navigator Electronic Compass. There's even an electronic compass built right in to keep you on target. Uniden takes driving protection one step further with the introduction of its Digital Navigator electronic compass. The new LRD 767 keeps you on track and out of trouble with full 360-degree protection from all radar and laser bands, such as X, K, and Ka, as well as road hazard alerts from the Safety Warning System. In addition to its built-in fully digital electronic compass, the LRD 767 is the first detector to alert you to the latest Pro L3 laser technology, as well as UltraLyte (L2) laser and SuperWideband Ka radar. This Stealth-fighter inspired unit has a bright Text Message display and is undetectable from VG-2 surveillance.

They Don't Use Radar Detectors on the High Road

Pros installation is easy, 360 degree coverage, can detect a shopping center a block away
Cons Can't read the front panel in the daylight, a lot of false alarms
Recommended it? Yes

I should have taken the high road. In life, there is the easy way, and there is the right way. There is the moral high road, and there is the less than moral easy path. Experience has recently been teaching me a hard lesson. If I stray from the high road, I will pay the price.

Uniden has been in the mix of detectors since the early '80s. With only two bands allocated for detectors to search, Uniden made more than Adaquate detectors. The RD-9 Detector provided in the '80s second to top rate detection.

Pros EXCELLENT warning time! Compass works VERY well!
Cons NO VISOR MOUNT!!

I have to admit, the reason I bought the LRD767 was the built in compass. I really liked that feature. Wasn't sure how well it would work..but I figured what the hell! So I bought it.
