The Bottom Line:
These are great for trips. Keeps children from getting bored in the car.
My daughter received this DVD as a gift for taking on journeys since she has 2 small children and travels a lot. It is a 7" screen, Dolby surround sound with internal speakers. Has 2 earphone jacks and it is also an MP3 player and regular CDs. Has an AC/DC for easy home use, car adapter, a rechargeable battery which lasts up to 2 hours long enough to view a full movie. It has a remote control. Came with a video controller with 30 family
games. Some of the games are; Tetris, Race Car, Frog Jumper. Can also be plugged to your home TV to be used as a DVD on your TV. Came with a carrying case.
It has very good sound and clear picture. It is one of the less expensive versions of many portable DVD players. She has had it for over 6 months. My daughter uses it for college courses where lectures are given on DVD. Makes it helpful while traveling to keep up with her school work. It is durable around children. Snaps shut easily. Has a strap that goes on a car's head rest so passengers in the back seat can view it without holding it.
Many of the new automobiles come with the option of a 7" DVD entertainment system mounted in center console for an additional $1,500.
This product was a great investment and a wonderful gift to receive that has been used by many family members young and old. Although it is not a well known brand name, it
compares very well to the higher end at a lower price. This was purchased at WalMart. Since the 6 months, I believe it can be purchased for less now.
(updated the $1,5000 to $1,500, lol)
