ViewSonic N2230w 22" LCD TV

Purchased two that were refurbished, but were probably open box as both has manuf. dates of 1Q2008. Both were connected to my cable without a box as I was intending to use the clear-QAM tuner for digital channels and the NTSC turner for the analog channels. But both had the same defects: no clear-QAM channels were detected after repeated attempts (more that 10 are available). Grainy, pixilated, wavy and color shifting picture. No user manual. The "Quick Start Software" CD (drivers and such) was very out of date and none would even load on my up-to-date iMac. Customer support claimed that, despite their website's specifications for the n2230w listed QAM capability, it did not have QAM capability. Even when connected to an HDMI source the picture was very grainy and color washed out. This one is going back immediately.
