I have had this monitor for a couple of months now, and held off on writing the review until I had some time to get used to it. Frankly, I'm not very happy with it. It is quite easy to set up, and it's compact and inexpensive. However, it turns out that a very important aspect of LCD quality is "contrast ratio" a number that's rarely mentioned in ads or reviews. This monitor has a contrast ratio of 450:1, compared to higher quality monitors with ratios of 500:1 or 600:1. This means that whites, in particular, get smeared out. Photographs of, say, a snowy mountain, or a slightly overexposed face, turn into undifferentiated smears.
This is, of course, after spending a LOT of time messing with the on-screen menu, trying "Auto-Image Adjust" and verifying that I have the proper drivers.
It does much better in the darker ranges, fwiw.
