A Premium Monitor
Pros
High contrast and brightness. Ease of installation. DVI input w/o speakers.

Monitor was purchased to replace a Viewsonic VP171b which I had purchased about 3 years ago. That monitor is superb and is now on an older stanby pc. I went to the VP2030b because with these old eyes I needed a larger monitor. The results are super: high contrast and brightness, best I've seen anywhere, and software that allows automatic or manual rotation to portrait format. Installation of monitor was easy. I use the DVI input. Also small bezel is a plus. I did not want built in speakers. My usage is primarily spreadsheets, financial charting (Metastock), photo-editing, word-processing and the internet. I think the Viewsonic Pro series are of superior quality and are reliable. No bad pixels.
