The Bottom Line:  The G90f has everything your average computer user needs as far as games and graphics quality goes and combines it with a great price.
My last monitor was a cheap generic 17". I decided after being given a 21" at work that I HAD to have something bigger so I went looking. This time around I wanted to pay for a little more quality, especially since I was looking at flat screen CRT monitors and various hardware reviews I had read noted geometry problems in the cheaper brands. After reading a number of hardware reviews and looking at a few in the stores, I settled on the Viewsonic G90f. Some of the things I liked about it were the smaller footprint which is made possible because the "neck" on the CRT is shorter than a "standard" length 19" tube. I don't think the G90f sits much if any deeper than my old 17" because of this. I have noticed no uniformity problems in the display......patches of lighter or darker areas or off color areas......and while the geometry was a little off from the factory it was easily adjustable. The monitor supports high refresh rates which means that at higher resolutions you will have less eyestrain because the display will not flicker as much. The G90f supports up to 1600x1200 at 75hz refresh rate. On the same video settings as my old cheapo 17" the text is much sharper and clearer as well. Of course I now run a much higher resolution but there the text is even more clear than the monitor I replaced. The only real annoyance I have found with it is that when I do have to go into the settings menus they can be a little tricky to navigate and use.
