Monitors can excel in one of two areas - color and sharpness. The Viewsonic monitor excels in the color area, but is by no means shabby when it comes to sharpness.
This monitor is part of Viewsonics graphics series, and the colors are beautiful and sharp - excellent for it's intended use. This is a 17" model, with 16" being viewable, a .27 dot pitch (anything below .28 is very good) and has a max resolution of 1280 x 1024.
The screen itself is fairly flat so there is not much glare, and it is aesthetically a good-looking monitor. It is plug and play compliant, so installing it was a snap.
I have had my monitor for about a year now, and I highly recommend it. There are better monitors out there that are sharper, and might be better suited for people who do a lot of text inputting or cad work, but if you are a gamer, surf the internet a lot, or just enjoy a monitor that has a good picture, then this one might be for you.
