The Viewsonic GS771 is one of the best color monitors I have ever dealt with. I have had to have several of these monitors repaired but not because of the monitor.
The most common issue with the monitor going bad was either water from a roof leak or coffee spilt into the monitor while it was in operation.
The color is crisp and the refresh rate is very good giving very little problem with my eyes. the monitor is compatible with not only the windows 95/98 machines but also the Win NT and Mac environments. Mac's do require a special adapter.
This monitor is very good for doing graphics with such programs as autocad and other similar drafting programs.
This monitor provides excellent resolution for the money. This monitor has a dot pitch of .27mm and a viewable area of 16 inches. the foot print is smaller than other monitors of the same size.
The monitor is not a totally flat screen so there is some fading in the corners but not as much as other monitors that are available. Viewsonic has a good name in the monitor market and they are one of the best.
Viewsonics main product line is monitors so they pride themselves on making good quality monitors. The viewsonic GS771 shows that Viewsonic is working to make sure that they produce quality monitors.
This monitor is deserving of a 5 star rating. I recommend the GS771 to anyone who is looking for a new monitor.
