Great Idea, but......
Pros
Easy install. Great Idea for memory stick users. Decent price.
Cons
Read/access time problem. First second of every mp3 does not play. Radio has poor reception.

The Bottom Line:
Nifty idea, but save your money for a higher quality product. Poor Radio reception and the first second of every song is cut off. This is very annoying.
I bought this unit for $99.00 at a local department store. Took me 20 minutes to install in my Subaru Forrester using the correct wiring harness. No modification was needed and looked like it could have been a factory install.
I fired the unit up an all looked good. The first thing I noticed was that the Radio reception was poor (yes I checked to make sure the antenna was connected). I tried the local/distance settings. To no avail I could only get one radio station clearly whereas my stock factory radio would pick up 20 stations in my area very clear.
I then inserted a CD full of MP3's. The first thing I noticed was that about 1 second of every song was cut off before it would play. At first I thought their may have been a problem with the CD.
I then put in a USB memory stick into the unit filled with MP3's. Hmm.... same problem. I tried different CD's and other memory sticks, I still got the same problem with the first second of music getting cut off. This seems to an access time issue with the unit.
This was very annoying to not hear the first second of a song so......out comes the unit and back to the store for a refund.
I'm not sure if this is a defect with this particular unit or if it is a hardware/software and quality issue with the unit. I did not get another unit to see if it was just a fluke.
