The Bottom Line:
I would never buy another vivitek in my life and if you have one good luck.......
I got this tv thru shopnbc on Jan 2006 it was my first hdtv.
First off I didnt receive it when promised, and it all went down hill from there. I replaced 2 bulbs in 2006 and 1 in 2007 at $200.00 a pop. In Nov. 2007 my tv started to make a lot of noise from the rear I tought it was the fan, so i called in to the shopnbc service protection. They sent a local repair co. over, he checked it out and said it was the light engine (light engine cost $1500.00 thank god for the protection plan). The repair shop sent the info to shopnbc and for some reason they told him to take it off sight to repair, so i asked how long nobody knew a week goes by and I call the local shop they tell me the light engine is not repairable and it needs a new one how long I asked he said 3-4 weeks cause the part is on back order I was mad cause Thanksgiving was in a week. I went to rent another tv $300.00 for the month. The tv came back in 3 weeks and 1 week later it started to make the same noise they orded another light engine and this time it was repaired onsight, To make a long story short this went on till Mar. 2008 having put 4 bad light engines until the no lemon law took affect and I got a check mailed to me for the full amount (NO MORE VIVITEK FOR ME)
