This 42" TV is nice (barring the sound cutting out), but the customer service is absolutely bad. I have had a sound problem for 2 months now. Everytime I call Vizio they add something on for me to do, before they will authorize a repair call. I have called 5 times now and what they are asking for now is unbelivable.
After sending in my receipt copy via a PDF they are stating the copy is illegible. When I contested this by reading right off the screen they then changed tack and told me that they would not warranty the TV unless the receipt has the serial number on it! Costco never puts the serial number on their receipts.
Since I live in southern California I have been considering buying a new TV and placing my Vizio in a lemon tree on a flat bed truck parked right in front of their corporate office in Irvine.
