Problem free - a great buy!

Pros Resonable price, great sound, great picture.
Cons If you need more than 2 HDMI inputs, this is not for you.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I would definitely consider this model when shopping for a 32" flat screen.  I'm very pleased with it.
Our big, old 28" TV was starting to fail.  So...  we wanted to replace it with a 32” flat screen.   Price was an important consideration.

We did comparison shopping at big box electronics stores, Costco, furniture chains and electronics clearance centers.  We found about 4 sets that retailed at about $500 (CDN) that looked suitable for our needs.

It looked like an LG model at Costco might be our choice - because, the Costco price included a 2-year warrantee!
But, before we made our purchase, we visited Tiger Direct a discount electronics firm.  We were aware much of their merchandise is re-furbished, however, I have never had any problems with items purchased there.

At Tiger Direct, we found a package deal for the VIZIO V0320E LCD HDTV.  (VIZIO is not a well-known brand in Canada.)   The picture was impressive and after playing with the remote, I was impressed with the sound from the hidden speakers.

The package included the TV & remote,  screen cleaning kit, DVD for color setup and a 2-year warrantee. The price worked out (after taxes) to almost $50 cheaper than the Costco TV --- we bought it.

The TV was quick and easy to setup, it worked like a charm.  Also, our satellite remote worked with this set (something our 37” Viewsonic TV does NOT do!)

It's 6 weeks later and this TV has not disappointed!  The picture and sound is great.

Of course, the picture quality does depend on the source…  regular definition satellite signals are fine, DVDs look great and when I connect my computer (via HDMI cable) it is SWEET!

Now… only being 32” I would not recommend this for a “home theatre” setup.  Yeah it’s a good picture and all, but it isn’t gigantic and if you have an over abundance of input sources, you could run out of plugs on the rear panel.

There are ‘only’ 2 HDMI inputs, but there are also RGB PC, S-video, Pr/Pb/Y component video input, stereo audio and regular single (yellow) video input as well.   There is no optical audio in, but there is optical audio out.

For temporary (quick connect/disconnect) there are inputs for stereo audio, Pr/Pb/Y components and single video input on the left side of the set (right next to the hidden manual control buttons).

Over all, the biggest drawback to this set is (and I think this is pretty standard for an LCD TV) – when you turn the set on, it takes a while to start.  It takes 12 seconds for the VIZIO logo to appear, then after another 4 seconds, the picture kicks in.

We are really happy with this set.
