The Bottom Line:
I recommend the Vizio 32" VW32L 40A to anybody who want HD quality at a reasonable price.
A couple months ago while browsing through Sears I made an impulse decision to enter into the HDTV age. I had several different choices anywhere from generic to top of the line. After weighing the options, and my bank account, I was looking at 32” TVs. I’m tight when it comes to buying anything so of course I was looking at cheaper TV when I caught notice of the Vizios. I remember several years back when Vizio was a generic name, but with its quality it has become a name brand with an exceptionally reasonable price. I purchased a 32” Vizio VW32L 40A for $529.99. With a 32” television you can’t really tell a difference between 720p and 1080i so it was a cost saver to stick with 720p. When I got home and hooked it up to my regular digital cable I immediately notice how much sharper the image was, even without HD service. I was displeased to find out there were only 2 HDMI hookups, meaning I would have to do some switching around to do some HD gaming, but for a good price I can live with that. The setup the first time you turn the TV on is a breeze. One pain I have notice that I dislike is you have a 10 second delay from the time you turn the TV on until the time the picture come on. I have come to find in other stores this same TV is selling for much lower now, like $150 cheaper, making it an exceptional value. I believe the TV is a great first step into the HD age of entertainment.
