A good starter HDTV

The Bottom Line:
If you're looking for a starter HDTV or an HDTV to put in a secondary room, I recommend the VW32L 100%.
I bought the VW32L nearly two years ago and have not been disappointed with my purchase. My wife and I decided to get an HDTV because we had had a Standard Definition TV since we had been together, and also because of the Digital TV switch. We purchased the TV for around $400, as it was on sale for the holiday season.
The VW32L only does 720p, but the picture looks great regardless. I've seen a lot of higher end TV's that don't look as good as the VW32L. It has two HDMI ports which comes in handy if you have multiple video game systems and/or a Blu Ray player. The speakers produce a big sound. Definitely more than I expected. The TV is light in weight and easy for one person to move around. It comes with a stand or ready for a wall mount.
The things that bother me about the TV are of minimal importance. The sound occasionally cuts in and out when using the HDMI ports. This happens so rarely that I don't consider it to be a major flaw.
All in all, this is a great starter HDTV. It's inexpensive, has a good warranty, a solid picture, and can make for a good secondary TV if you already have an HDTV for you living room.
