I purchased one of these "Diamond" series 52" DLP HDTV's in 2006. The picture is great, sound is ok if you're using the tv speakers (I'm not). Only one HDMI input, these were obviously though of before HMDI was the way to go. The most serious aspect is that Mitsubishi sold a load of these units and they do not back them at all. There is a well known major flaw with these units, the Light Engine in the Mitsubishi DLP's will tank in a very short time. Making your $4000.00 plus investment into a fish tank. My light engine was replaced in March 2008, only to fail AGAIN in August 2008. Just one month out of warranty on the "extended" warranty I purchased. The cost of repair, $1492.00 parts, labor, tax. And with a 90-day repair warranty. Oh Boy. The cost of a brand new Panasonic Plasma 50" - $1064 out the door. Guess which route I am taking.
