Good 19 inch LCD HDTV DTV Value but Lockups!

Good quality desktop TV & PC monitor. 1 year warranty.
Cons
Locks up video or loses audio frequently. Weak speakers. TV reception is marginal.

The Bottom Line:
Decent buy considering it price and good performance as both TV and PC monitor. But bad reception lockup and audio glitches have killed my opinon of it.
My wife bought this TV at my recommendation from Sam's Club in September 2007 for 287 USD. Not a bad deal considering it also doubles as a PC monitor.
We get 16x9 720p or 1080i HDTV reception free using a powered amplified UHF antenna. Works well for almost all local air channels. Seems we're the only family in our side of town that does not have cable/satellite TV.
It's not without glitches however.
Twice, the TV has completely locked up, frozen on a single frame of a TV show. Pushing every button on the remote or even the power button wouldn't cure it. Only unplugging the power cable for 5 minutes fixed it. This only occurs in digital TV mode and when reception is weak.
Once, there was no audio on digital broadcast. Analog was fine. Again, the only fix was to unplug power and replug.
I have another Humax Digital tuner that has done this once in a while, but generally is fine after turning power off/on. So, I'm not overly concerned. We called Westinghouse warranty service which tried to convince us it was the antenna's fault. I disagree. It shouldn't lock up just because of a weak antenna signal.
Otherwise, picture is clear, bright, and in focus for both HDTV and PC use. I actually had to turn down the brightness. It also gets Analog TV reception (or if you have regular cable) but we rarely use that. There is a slight delay when you change channels on digital TV mode.
As another reviewer mentioned, audio is acceptable but weak. Amplified speakers would be best for distance viewing.
Speakers are fine for PC or desktop TV viewing.
The remote is reasonable and easy to figure out. I like the 3 assignable 'favorite channel' buttons. Switching between video sources is quick. Remote range is a bit weak and has to be dead on aim to receive.
AV connections in the back of the unit are 90 degrees on the left side, power on the right, so mounting on a wall will not interfere with cabling. You get HDMI, component, Svideo, RCA video, VGA, and one antenna input (both analog and digital broadcast).
There is no PIP in this unit.
There are RCA and/or minijack (PC cable) audio inputs for each video input. There is one SPIDF out and one headphone output.
The base is removeable in case you hang on a wall or bracket.
There is a decent built-in TV viewing guide with digital mode. Setup menu has lots of options.
My wife uses this mostly for DTV but also as a extended PC monitor for her laptop on her desk. It is MUCH brighter and sharper than her lowend toshiba laptop monitor. Thus could serve as a primary PC monitor.
Recommended resolutions are:
640x480, 800x600, 1280x720, 1024x768, 1440x900
UPDATE 8/16/2008: i had to update the title because this TV has cronic lockups as I described above in my original review. Audio sometimes disappears. We find that unplugging twice a day to reset it is getting tedious. Tech support phone calls to Westinghouse have been useless. They blame it on the antenna, however, the cheap DTV converter boxes available now get fabulous reception from the same antenna. And they don't freeze up. I have tried to get an RMA to send it in and they have told us twice there is NO FIX for this.
