The Bottom Line:
If you aren't building a large home entertainment system to rival the theater, this is a good choice.
This television was bought to replace an ~20 year old, tube television that had a personality disorder. Needless to say, we don't place much emphasis on our television experience. Otherwise, we would have purchased a larger screen a long time ago.
We found the Westinghouse television on sale at Best Buy, and decided it was the one for us.
First off, the color quality is very good. Of course, anything after a tube television is good. But by comparison to other LCD's I've seen, this one is very good. The color levels are adjustable to your tastes.
On the back of the television, there are connections of every sort that you can possibly imagine. If I wanted to, I could connect my computer to this TV, and I would have an instant 32 inch monitor!
My only complaint is that many DVD's are in letterbox format (black bars above and below picture), and the television, in order to display in true widescreen without the bars, must be put in oversize mode. This isn't bad, unless you want subtitles turned on, which my wife and I typically do (two noisy children often forces this). We did manage to find a way to adjust how the subtitles display, allowing us to actually read them. But having to go through it every time does get a little bit old.
Overall, I'm very impressed with this television. It serves us very well. Other than some cryptic menus and options, it is very nice.
