Whistler Radar Detection.. Great Purchase
You never know when a cop is going to be lurking by in the woods, or behind an obstacle where you cannot see them with their radar on. All it takes is for you to be 5 mph over the speed limit and you would most likely get a near $100 ticket.

Either I got unlucky or this thing is pretty bad
When I bought this radar detector I had little time to really look around. I was leaving for a road trip and only had a few minutes to shop. This detector had all the features and I decided that if it doesn't work out I'll just return it when I get back. And return it I did.

Not all it's cracked up to be.
I have owned a radar detector for at least a 1 1/2 years. When I got this one I was excited of the safety warning system. I bought this detector about two or three months back because of the price and also because I liked what I read on it. On many occasions, it has saved me from getting a ticket by warning me in time that there was a police officer in the area.

The 360 degree protection is good on this radar detector. I recently bought this model "new" even though it is an older model. I was using a Passport 5000. I bought this unit because of it's features and price. I like the large display and the voice. It has accurately picked up police speed detection, grocery store door openers and building alarm systems. I drive a mixture of rural and city so I just leave it set on Highway mode.
