Whistler Radar Detection.. Great Purchase

You never know when a cop is going to be lurking by in the woods, or behind an obstacle where you cannot see them with their radar on. All it takes is for you to be 5 mph over the speed limit and you would most likely get a near $100 ticket.
The Whistler DE1650 Radar Detector offers just as many features as the more expensive units but at the price of only $119 which is very good for such a high quality detector.
It detects all radar bands (X, K, Superwideband and Ka). It also detects laser and safety systems. It has a text display which can alert you with message if there is Construction Ahead, a Train crossing and over 60 other messages and warnings.
The detector has great range and on an open stretch of road can detect a cop using his radar for probably at least a half mile to a mile away, and maybe more. It is also a 360 degree radar detector so it can detect cops behind you and in front of you along with each side.
The unit also contains a City/Highway button which can ignore annoyances from electronic doors that may set the alarm off at random times. You can brighten or dim the display depending on how you want the text to be displayed. It also has something called VG2 Detection which is used to block cops from detecting you have a radar detector in places where it is illegal.
This is an excellent unit and I highly recommend it to anyone with a heavy foot.
