A Fair Cry from being the Best
The 1660 offers a good value for it detection. The Whistler Company offers many features in it product but some not worth the price. This is one the many detectors in or above the middle class of detectors. This includes Cobra, Uniden, and Escort.

It's a keeper, but give that voice some speech therapy!
I suspect I am not exactly within the demographic of people most likely to be buying a radar detector. Great sensitivity but has flaws.
I originally purchased this product because I wanted a radar detector that was in the mid-price range, but had all of the necessary features that I wanted. TROUBLE FROM THE START
I FIRST PURCHASED THIS UNIT IN FEBRUARY OF 2001, THERE ARE A NUMBER OF PROBLEMS I HAVE ENCOUNTERED SINCE. FIRST, THE SUCTION CUPS DO NOT STAY ON MY WINDSHIELD VERY WELL, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT GETS WARM.
