Not as good as radartest.com says...
Pros
Wireless, attractive display, easy to read, nice colors
Cons
False alarms, grabs all telephone lines in all modes, slow reaction time, heavy with batteries.

I've been using an old model for years now, whistler 1675 compass. it has the least amount of false alarms. I've never gotten a ticket with it for over 6 years. Well my wife drives a lot also, thought it'd be time to get her a radar. I bought this 1788 at COMPUSA for $85. it's nice, people who REVIEWD this product man handled the bracket, i use the bracket everyday with my whistler 1675, idiots...they obviously dont depress the lock button to unlock it. thats why they break it.
My Whistler 1675 compass is 10x better than this model of 1788. 1788 has too many false alarms, no matter what mode u put it in. i turn off xband all together and the ka band goes nuts for every powerline/telephone line i pass. so i dont know if CHP/sheriffs/police are running radar or coming towards me or behind me. so i stopped using this. NOT WORTH $130, im still trying to find an older model since they pick up the least false alarms.
