Consider the Whistler Pro 73. It's is a good detector for the money

Very good detector for the money
Cons
Settings difficult to change in a dark car. Dash pad not much use to me.

*fewer false signals (of any detector I've ever owned) probably due to 3 city settings--city, city1, city 2

*bright, dim, and dark settings is a plus

*Has a tutorial mode
*Uses a power cord,windshield mount with effective suction cups, and a dash pad is provided.
