Whistler has had mine more than I have
Pros
Ability to select operating bands
Cons
Quality control - turn around on warranty repair - antenna
Recommended it?
No
My XTR-560 is on its way back to Whistler for its second warranty visit. The data screen lights up but no data comes across the screen. Last time, the supposedly repaired a solder joint.
Word to the wise...unless something changes the KU band is just a nuisance. It goes off every time you pass an 18 wheeler that is using satellite tracking (and there are a lot of them) as they are transmitting their data in the KU band.
It has an extremely directional antenna. While this is a benefit on the highway, in the city it might allow a cruiser to approach from a side street undetected until it is too late.
