Pros
Inexpensive for a color laser printer and excellent photo quality.
Cons
Replacement toner cartridges are small and not inexpensive.

I was extremely pleased on how well it handled photos in the enhanced mode without adding any additional memory. In standard mode you could see a slight amount of grain, however in the enhanced mode there was no grain.
It saves power by going into a sleep mode and comes out automatically when sent a print job. It takes several minutes for it to process a 8.5 x 11 photo. It handled heavy glossy photo paper in the tray without any problems.
Text is excellent and only a few seconds delay when printing text.
Xerox memory for the machine is extremely expensive, however a lot cheaper memory is available from other sources. Not sure how more memory would help the machine.
I normally would have bought an ink jet for photos, however I bought this color laser because the machine will set idle for 7 months during the summer season and I was concerned about ink jets clogging. I bought the Phaser sight unseen and only with print samples provide through the mail.
