By far best receiver I've ever heard...
Pros
DTS, a lot of sound fields, good selection of inputs
Cons
None that I can think of
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
This is a very good receiver because it has a good price and packs a lot of punch.
As my title says, this is the best receiver I have heard, but don't expect me to have listened to every one that exists. But moving on, this is a very good receiver. I got this for Christmas because it had DTS. I thought it would be no better than Dolby Digital (Boy, was I wrong! Dolby Digital is crap compared to DTS.) but I decided to get it anyway because my Aiwa AV-D55 was getting too old compared to everything else.
It took me a while to get the DTS working, because me and my low IQ forgot that you have to get a digital input (PCM). Now that I'm done ranting about that, lets move on.
This receiver has 75 watts per channel which packs a lot of punch and many sound fields. It has everything from Dolby Pro Logic II to a Disco setting. It is relatively easy to get your basic settings up with the menu. You select this option or that option a couple times and you're done. It has a pretty good selection of inputs (but no phono, sorry record fans) and is very durable.
This receiver is great for home theater (if you have the right speakers) and if you have $200, get it.
