I took 3 months to review the differences between ALOT of receivers in my price range. This one hits every detail I was wishing for. Yamaha is the only receiver to have an amplifier for every channel that it supports. Most or all other receivers have one large amplifier supplying all of your speakers. The design of several amplifiers results in extremely high quality sound with little to NONE in the distortion area.
Setup is SIMPLE... the connections are easy to get to and the inputs are plenty.
I have my digital cable, DVD Player both plugged into Component inputs and still have PLENTY of inputs for my VCR, Gamecube, CD Player, and X-box into the RCA connectors. All plugged in Simultaneously.
This receiver is Simply the BEST in its class!!!!
