Audiophile on a shoestring budget?

After a lengthy review of speakers to replace my fronts in a surround sound system RXV663 Yamaha A/V amp and as the mains for stereo music listening I selected the Yamaha NS-555. These really sound great after a 100-150 hour break-in period. They are now musical and precise without being harsh, as they were initially. I get excellent bass response and find that with the back porting the position of the speaker in relationship to walls and corners really effects the bass. These are good for small to medium rooms, large rooms I say use the NS-777's. They pair well with the better yamaha center speakers and are superb as Home Theatre speakers, too.
The NS-555's are solidly built, and look great with the cloth screen on or off. The fit and finish is superb.
