Yamaha NS-555 Main / Stereo Speaker

I did quite a research before purchasing the NS 555. My only fear was that the waveguide horns would impair the ambience of the sound but now I can ensure you that it's not that bad. When you change your position in the room you can definitely tell that the placement of the listener matters, but the impairment is not as bad as I thought it would be. On the other hand, the wavehorns make the speakers sound fantastic in almost any environment since the reflected sound is decreased dramatically. As to soundstage and accuracy the speakers are awesome, awesome, awesome! Extremely well balanced speakers! My old Cerwin Vega sound like concert monitors in comparison to the NS 555.
The cabinet and the drives are top quality, and the speakers behave flawlessly in very high volumes without distortion or loosing accuracy and soundstage (when plugged into a decent receiver of course)
Last but not least, those are one of the most stylish speakers you can find on the market.
