Yamaha low-end speakers

Pros Small, decent sound, dual inputs, sub connection
Cons Sound quality could be better, useless tone control knob
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Good speakers for the money
I purchased these speakers because of two reasons: the Yamaha name which my previous pair of speakers were, and the price was reasonable. At first I was quite pleased with my purchase, but upon hearing my friends YST-M10 speakers which cost slightly more, I realized they weren't the greatest sounding. Don't get me wrong, the speakers sound great. Don't expect any earth shattering booms or thuds from these, but for basic computer speakers they are above average. If you want the deep bass, though, there is a connection for a subwoofer of your choice. Also a connection for an additional input, from a stereo perhaps.

The one thing I hate about these speakers is the lack of a bass and treble control. Instead there is the useless tone control knob which either makes the sound muffled, or takes all the low end away.

There is a power button, volume, tone controls and a headphone jack for those late night deathmatches.

If all you need is a good quality pair of speakers for your PC, then these fit the bill nicely. If you're looking to turn your PC into a stereo system, do yourself a favour and look for a little more high end equipment, including a sub.
