Poor product, doesn't work
Pros
unfortuantely, none.
Cons
The VCR freezes and does not allow user to press buttons.
I went to Circuit City and purchased this VCR. I came home, set up the time, channels, etc. It was fine. I inserted a tape. The VCR froze for 5 minutes or more. I could not press any button on the VCR or the remote. Finally a few minutes later, it ejected and some of the ribbon part of the tape was out of the videotape itself. I tried it with another videotape, and the same situation occurred. I returned the VCR and got the same model as I figured it was just a faulty VCR, I was wrong.
I came home with the same make and model VCR and set the time, channels, etc. I inserted a tape, and the same situation occurred where I could not press any button on the VCR or remote. In fact, the time froze as well. This time many minutes went by and it didn't even eject the tape. I was told by customer service, whom I called, to take out the plug from the outlet. I did so. The video tape would not come out, nor would the VCR allow me to press any buttons. Finally after a few times, the videotape came out safely.
I tried a second videotape after resetting the VCR by removing the plug from the outlet, and then programming the VCR's time and channels. I inserted a different tape, and the same situation as above occurred.
Well, now I have to return to Circuit City to return this VCR.
I noticed the store only has two models of VCR's. I will not purchase a VCR from this store again.
