The Bottom Line:
All of its features and its high compatibility, the Zhumell 10" Dobsonian makes an excellent telescope for users of all levels.
The 10" Zhumell Dobsonian telescope is a great telescope that gives the user the ability to explore the many vast and distant celestial objects of the universe, right from their very own backyard. The way in which the telescope is externally designed affords it a slick appearance that would seem to attract serious telescope users. In addition, its structural build enables the user to easily move the tube in all directions, therefore providing for a better structural mobility. The 10" Zhumell Dobsonian proves to be a fine telescope that would fulfill the desire to observe and study astronomical bodies.
The structure if the 10" Dobsonian is a strong, durable build that is supported at a metal base. It seems to stand about as if it were proud…once it has been assembled. The assembly can be quite of a different story. The instruction manual that is shipped with the product can be somewhat confusing and tedious to follow, therefore probably being better suited to those who have had previous experience assembling telescopes, rather than the average first-timer or average person. In addition, the assembly itself may require some specific tools that are not included in the assembly set. This can certainly cause a troubling delay. However, through all the tiny screws, the wood, the springs, and the many other little parts, the assembly is still manageable. It proves to be quite worth it, for the product is shipped with other accessories to enhance the user’s experience. It comes with a finder scope, a laser pointer that aides in the collimation of the mirror, and an eyepiece holder, which can be mounted onto the side of the scope. This ultimately helps make the usage of the product better, more enjoyable, and more convenient.
Having a mirror with the diameter of ten inches, the 10" Dobsonian, offers greater absorption of light, therefore improving the image and enabling the observation of celestial bodies with the maximum magnitude of 14. It also has as a maximum useful magnification of 600 and the option of being converted between the eyepiece sizes of 1.25" and 2". These features yield more compatibility for the use of eyepieces of different measure. The base of the telescope itself consists of two parts that are separated by a plate of Teflon glass, which provides greater mobility for the scope and giving the user the option of observing celestial bodies in such positions such as the zenith, a position that some telescopes are not capable of achieving.
With all of its features and its high compatibility, the Zhumell 10" Dobsonian makes an excellent telescope for users of all levels who are interested in observing the many celestial wonders of the night sky. I recommend this product to anyone who has an interest in observing the greatly unexplored universe.
