I got a real Charge out of Digipower's DPS2000 Quick Charger Kit

Pros Compact, quick, and reliable charger.
Cons The lid does get lost now and then. My fault, I'm sure.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I wouldn't want to be without this charger! It has come in so handy and hasn't failed me once.
When we purchased our Digital Camera, we figured that it would be cheaper in the long run to buy rechargeable AA batteries to feed the hungry thing. Little did we know how right we were!

We purchased a Digipower Solutions Ni-MH/Ni-CD Battery Kit Model DPS2000, because the price of $30.00 seemed reasonable and it looked so compact and I think the clerk in the camera store recommended it.

The charger is only 3 x 4.4 x 0.9 inches and weighs only 4.5OZ without the batteries. It is off-white in color and has slots for 4 AA batteries, divided into Side A and Side B. Side A being the upper two battery slots and Side B being the lower, and each pair of slots has its own red indicator light.

This charger will also charge Triple A's (AAA's) with the inserts provided in the battery compartment. You remove the inserts to charge double A's (AA's.)

There is a hinged clear plastic cover to protect the compartments from dust or other elements.

Performance

This charger has a retractable plug to use in our wall outlets so it is easy to handle and store.

Inserting the batteries is a cinch. You merely lift the cover and choose the slots. Leave the inserts in for AAA's and remove them for the AA's.

The Plus and minus ends are clearly shown in the battery compartment. With the batteries in place, merely close the lid and plug the charger into the electric source. The indicator light comes on to show that the batteries are charging.

Two AA batteries take 80 minutes to charge.

Four AA batteries take 160 minutes to charge.

With new batteries, Digipower recommends charging 4 hours before the initial use.

The indicator lights turn off when the batteries are charged.

We like the fast aspect of this charger, having had another one which took 12 hours and destroyed the batteries when we forgot to remove them.

We've learned to charge the batteries in a conspicuous place (and also to set a timer) so we can see when the light goes out.

In spite of those precautions, we have forgotten about the charging job, but have never had any damage done to the batteries in this unit.

Closing Notes

This is a lightweight, compact charger, ideal for taking along in your camera case, glove compartment, or purse.

I keep it in our glove compartment, along with 4 charged batteries to make sure my camera won't fail me at the wrong time. It is a MUST for trips. We can recharge them, if necessary, in our motel room or by plugging the unit into our inverter.

For an inexpensive charger which does a fast job, this small unit is a winner. It says it will recharge over 1000 times and my unit came with 4 rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries.

Take CHARGE of your battery required instruments, and treat yourself to worry-free operation by choosing the Digipower Solutions DPS2000 Rechargeable Battery Kit.

Thank you for reading and I hope this has been helpful to you.
