HP 5550 deskjet I've had it for many years
Pros
Slow but reliable. Can obtain inexpensive refills at Walgreens.
Cons
Slow.
Recommended it?
Yes
Doesn't use much ink, prints slow as molasses. Probably like 1 sheet per minute. I refill the cartridges inexpensively at Walgreen's Drug Store (I'm so glad they offer this service). Very few paper jams. Wanted to replace it with a printer and scanner combo that uses the same cartridges (for similar capacity). Not possible to buy one using the same cartridges. The black ink uses a #56 19 mil cartridge (450 pages) and the color ink uses a #57 17 mil cartridge (400 pages). This printer was recommended to me by someone and that's why I purchased it. Just wish it came with a scanner. Possibly the slow rate of printing has something to do with my computer, as it has been acting quite temperamentally lately. Seems to be printing slower that usual. But it's never been what you could consider to be a fast printer.
