Great inexpensive printer
I purchased this HP 5550 printer while in college sometime between 2000-2002. For college use, I just needed a printer for normal paper work with occasional color prints. Good machine, excellent support.
After a few years of excellent service this inkjet 5550 is still cranking out prints like nobody's business. I like the quality and reliability of the machine. Excellent quality and speed.
I have had this printer for about 5 years now and I plan on using this printer until it dies. It has always worked when I needed it to. The quality is amazing on this printer. Epson 5550 came with a Mac I bought.
We got this 5550 HP printer when I bought my Mac powerbook a few years ago. It came "free" with the laptop. I think it would have been about $100.
